In between typing and job hunting, I took the opportunity to sign up for Operation eBook Drop. The short version is that deployed troops get ebook versions of my novel for free. If you think that you would like to contribute or benefit from such a service, more information can be found here.
Our troops, whether you approve or not, really do put a lot on the line. I don't know how I could ever thank them enough for the simple liberties that we take for granted each day, but I figured that doing this was a start.

Resolutions are boring.
"Why are resolutions boring?" you may ask. Well, simply put, I think resolutions are for people who lack introspective qualities. Why on earth should we, as a species only pick one day a year to reflect on our innermost workings, when we manage to successfully screw up our lives for the other 364 (365 on leap year!). So, after spending over three weeks being sick and agonizing on how to promote myself, my current attitude has been adjusted to this: Shut up and write. I can't let the numbers control me. Instead, I just need to sit down, shut up, and write something. Maybe I will take a break when I hit book number thirty, go out and see a movie or something. Speaking of promotion, check out my latest interview. |
